P: Compatibility Bug for Mac (either a listing bug or an app error)

Hello - Adobe lists ps beta (up to the current version 25.9) as compatible with mac os 11.7.  I've been using beta for years, but ever since I tried to update to 25.8 I'm getting mixed messages.  On the landing page in creative cloud it has a green checkmark under "works with this device."  It is not listed as 'not compatible' like some of the newer apps under updates.

After updating to 25.8 I can no longer open  beta.  I tried 25.9 and get the same message.  (I've reset prefs, uninstalled and reinstalled).  Even trying to revert back to an older version produces the same error message, which is:
“Adobe Photoshop (Beta).app cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop (Beta).app works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS.
Click Report to see more detailed info and send a report to Apple.”

I'm attaching screenshots of the conflicting messages.
I'm unable to use the current or previous beta versions and can't figure out why.

I know some features like the remove tool and parametric filters are not available if using beta on OS 11.7.   But generative fill has always worked - and trying the new generative fill update was the main draw for me.  I have a feeling it will be version locked out of the official release on Big Sur 11.7, which sucks considering generative fill is cloud based on not OS dependent....but I'm guessing all versions of future apps will be incompatible with big sur....but I was hoping to use it on the beta, which is supposed to work.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks!

Hi @kleerp2007

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

We understand you are not able to launch beta, so please share your sysinfo on Ps release version: Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.7.0 20240415.r.504 130b225 arm64

Thanks,

CoryShubert,

There are user reports that the Photoshop 2024 (ps ver 25.7) doesn't work on macOS Big Sur 11.7
