P: Generated images violate user guidelines

So as you can see, it's a PG-13 relatively inoffensive image of a woman in a bunny outfit. The top worked fine, and I was able to complete the top ear, which is cool. When I tried to extend the bottom with generative fill, though, I got this warning. They're just a pair of legs wearing stockings, and I wanted to extend it.

It feels like a false flag - though I could be wrong? I find myself thinking it would do the same for women in swimsuits.

Figured I'd share here.

Whenever I use generative fill to target specifically hands, normally its when a previous generation for a larger part messed up the hands, it kicks it back stating that it is against the community guidelines.

Hi @Austin2937901294ym what prompts are you using? You need to enter a prompt - there is a higher probability of guideline failures if you do not.

I was thinking that Adobe Firefly has the potential to provide the first truly useful AI-assisted tools for generating image and video. That's what I thought... until I saw that they have the same kind of restrictive rules as OpenAI. Hopefully this is only a temporary limitation for the beta program. As their rules stand now, you can't use the tools for any R-rated content, and probably lots of PG-13 and even PG content would not be possible either. Imagine being unable to use Adobe products for anything that is not kid-friendly!

Adobe tools have a reputation for being about empowering people to express their creativity without limitations. But those new rules surrounding the AI tools are entirely against the spirit of Adobe's products. Adobe will need to establish an unrestricted AI platform before these Firefly tools can have truly widespread utility.

True, I was really impressed by Firefaly the first days, especially consideringit's beta state. But it becomes more usesless every day. I could not even add or manipulatesd  my own non nude non violent works. Lates fun: 3D AI generated content, a medieval moose with a leather vest, mystical. Wanted to add soe fire and smoke, and it's agains guidelines. Yesterday I wanted to remove an image PS itself created at a wall, while enlargibg a photo of a room. "Against our guidelines"). This pops more up than any usable result. And worse: There's no option to comment this, wich would be a help for firefly's training...

Another photographers story I read some days ago: Trying to put clothes ON a model (act photography), so actually dressing her. "Against our guidelines". That's worse than a mongrel of Vatican City, Zuckerberg and Kim Jong-un, just plain ridiculous. How to work  professionally with this and not just removing clouds from last Mallorca holiday photo to impress friends or removing a candle on grandmas birthday cake to please her? Again, hillarious, it started so well, but...

Hi @alberts19067249 what prompts did you use with Generative Fill?

Thank you, Kevin. Sure. I did find a work around.

My question was that of genuine surprise. The most innocent birthday photo possible (I trust you have seen it attached). I didn't enter any prompt -- so I thing that Adobe could get worried about. And the job was just to fill in blanks.

Ok, I've had these warning when I asked to fill in with fire, sometimes arms, sometimes ethnic dress -- all for my in no way harming work flow, but at least I see why the algorithm was overly conservative there.

But with my wife's birthday pic?

Maybe someone from Adobe could explain?

Why is this against the guidelines? I'm simply trying to remove the chair 😅

yea this keeps happening to me. i thoguht ai would be a great tool to accentuate my designs but unfortunately my designs involve a lot of scantily clad women and adobe and the ai generator sphere in general decided to be puritanical and women's bodies don't exist beyond ankles.

I love that Adobe has included this type of AI but one thing that really upsets me is the limitations that is put on it with reguards to mature images. As far as i know adobe has never restricted someones art before. I am a Boudoir photographer and most times i get the error that this violates adobe standards or whatever it is. Adobe is excluding a wide user base by doing this, i am trying to expand an image of a woman that is fully clothed and not nude at all or even any hint of nakedness, it gives me the pop up error, much less if i wanted to do a nude portrait of someone i cannot. Why Adobe? Ive never been upset with adobe before but this is a first. I thought Adobe was above all that nonesense of limiting or censoring our images. Grow up and realize that there are adult photographers out there that professionally take mature pictures and this tool would really be useful.

My text prompt in Photoshop(Beta) violates user community guidelines, using ChatGpt to clean, review and re-word the prompt.

* I have pasted the community guidelines for MidJourney and Adobe, yet ChatGPT claims to not violate any of these terms and the wording provided is acceptable.

See below:

The description provided, considering Adobe's Generative AI Beta User Guidelines, would remain the same as it does not violate the stated rules:

"An imposing cyborg bounty hunter stands firm, his physique revealing a striking array of muscles hardened by innumerable battles. His body, adorned with a collage of scars and semi-healed wounds, narrates the story of a seasoned soldier. Even in his implied retirement, the aura of danger lingers. This veteran yearns for a semblance of tranquility, longing for a moment's peace and the elusive comfort of a restful sleep."

This description doesn't include abusive, illegal, or confidential content. There's no pornographic material, hateful content, graphic violence, or promotion of illegal activities, self-harm, terrorism, or violent extremism. No personal or private information of others is shared.

The account isn't engaged in deceptive or harmful behavior. There's no use of fake, misleading, or inaccurate information, and no impersonation of other people or entities. No third-party copyright, trademark, or other rights are violated in this character description.

It doesn't create content for commercial use but for personal narrative development. The provided description is in compliance with the Adobe Generative AI Beta User Guidelines mentioned.

-- end --

I continued to reword what I think could cause the issue with synonyms:

Ok, replace the words "elusive pleasure" with "evanescent merriment", "battle" with "conflict" and "dangerous" with "hazard"

No luck, my retired, very nice rope skipping flower picking soldier would never see the canvas. *sigh*

Please help.

Kind Regards,

Anton

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

Hello Adobe team,

I constantly receive this message : "The generated images were removed because they violate user guidelines." for wanting to add windows on an office image. So I've read the guidelines and I don't see anything that I did to violate these guidelines. (see screenshot attached).

Either for the left or for the right side of this image, the message remains the same.

Thank you.

I keep receiving a pop up that my generatrive fill violates user guidelines when attempting to change shoes on a photo I took. This is without typing any prompt into the box and just having it generate automatically.

Hi @Bernard Brand what happens if you enter a prompt?

I am trying to remove a blurred automobile from a picture of a highway.  Note that the picture is my own work, but the version I am experimenting on was retrieved from my own FB account, as I did not have the original on this computer.

When I select the vehicle, but leave the directions blank, the program deletes the generated fill and tells me that the generated fill breaks the guidelines.

If I tell the program to "delete the car" - it works.

I've been having the same issue. I'm scared I'll get in trouble when I'm not actually doing anything wrong.
