P: Generated images violate user guidelines

So as you can see, it's a PG-13 relatively inoffensive image of a woman in a bunny outfit. The top worked fine, and I was able to complete the top ear, which is cool. When I tried to extend the bottom with generative fill, though, I got this warning. They're just a pair of legs wearing stockings, and I wanted to extend it.

It feels like a false flag - though I could be wrong? I find myself thinking it would do the same for women in swimsuits.

Figured I'd share here.

Dear Community,

On November 7th, 2023, the Firefly for Photoshop service was updated and improved for this issue. You should encounter fewer guideline errors when working on or near skin-tone areas that do not violate the community guidelines.

While the improvement is a big step in the right direction, we are continuing to explore new ways to minimize false-positives. Please continue to give us feedback on this new forum thread and also report false violation errors in the application.
Thank you

I frequently get user guideline violation messages.  However, there is no way these violate any guideline.  For instance, right now I am trying fill a gap in between the top of a man's tie and the top of his shirt.  In other words, the knot in his tie is too low and I am trying to fill in that gap by extending his tie up 1/4".  How does this violate a guideline?  These violstion messages happen frequently and is very frustrating.

It seems that Adobe are being cautious with what they are allowing Gen Fill to do, and with the bad press Ai is getting right now, you can hardly blame them.  The bottom line is it what it is, so we have to live with it.  I managed a workaround a few days ago by copying the layer and blurring the 'apparently' offensive area just enough.  Then used Gen Fill and merged the copied layer over the new pixels.  That was a strange situation as I was responding to a post on this forum, and testing a fix on an image they had already produced with Gen Fill (two ladies with swim suits) so I have no idea why it for him but thew up an error for me.

In some cases when I use generative feel, I get a message that generative fill has been removed because it violates these User Guidelines, regardless of which text field I leave blank. In one case, it was an ordinary trash can in the park that I wanted to remove.

Hi @Audrina30533276h260 would it be possible for you to share the .psd file with prompts/layers for the team to look at? If so, send to shubert@adobe.com

I've had the same trying to remove a stupid object the bot gave me instead of a mountain. What makes it so ironic is the fact, they're violating their OWN guidelines😆😅😅

The background I was trying to extend consisted of a beach (sand and stones) and the ocean, which was to the left of the subjects.  I did not include any of the subjects (or subject parts) in the selected area to extend.  I consistently got the "violated guidelines" alert and the generative fill was deleted.

The process worked when I extended to area below and to the right of the subjects but would not work when trying to extend the image to ghe left.

I was using the latest Beta version of Photoshop (16 June 2023)

Generative Fill will not process images produced by JidJourney or Stable Diffusion. Photoshop beta gives error message "Generated images were removed because they violate our user guidlines"

How big was the image in pixels?

Can you upload the image so we have an idea what you were dealing with?

I tried to remove a twig in the background and got the warning message, that I am violating the policies. It is a picture with a bird in it and lots of branches and twigs in the background. I tried it several times and kept getting that warning message, that the created imaged has been removed, since it violates the policies.

I was removing people from an image I took near Rockefeller Center. The first few passes using AI generated refill removed people perfectly but on 4th area when I hit generate fill to remove last group of people I got this message- "The generated images were removed because they violate user guidelines." The image was taken by me using my Nikon digital camera. The people I was removing were mostly dark blobs so no distinguishing features but it was just a distraction from the view I wanted. Can't imagine I broke any guideline rules but who knows this is all new to me.

I think the criteria must be that the responsibility for the result image is the user, as the copyright is . So Adobe can keep improving without being judged.

I think Adobe needs to get out of the content moderation process entirely, what we use the AI for is really none of their consern, they can't be held liable, and it ruins the experence. I've ran into dozens of issues with violating the guidlines just having the AI try and remove objects or generative fill, if the results were not something I wanted I wouldn't use them but censoring them before I get a chane to will just drive people to other tools that know their role in the community.

Given the fact that the Adobe team has requested to see example images
wherein the problem occurs, I get the impression they are not experiencing
the issue to the extent that we are, if at all. Despite what the message
says, I believe other issues are involved well beyond assumed censorship.

I watched a finance reporter (Cramer) rave about PS AI. He said that the PS CEO said they got 80 times the submissions they thought they would get.  They should not take credit for failed attempts.

I'm trying to generate an image of a drag queen, but when I type "drag" or "drag queen" I get a message that they violate user guidelines. Can someone explain why and how? Is there a way to request those words to be excluded from the list of prohibited keywords?

At this point I'm giving up on edititing anything woman related in PS whatsoever. I don't know what were they thinking with this hyper draconian and irrational censoring of a tool made for professional adults.

Adobe Photoshop Beta 24.7

Hello World,

This evening 6/18/2023 I updated the Adobe Photoshop Beta to V. 24.7. In the image below I was trying to remove the chain as shown in the image below using Generative Fill with no prompt / input and I recieved the shown Community guidelines violation alert. I repeated the same step and received the same results. On the third step I removed the trace and circled the chain again it worked fine. I'm not sure what triggered the Community guidelines violation but though you should know that it seems real finiky.

This is trivial to remove with traditional methods. I don't know why you would use generative fill here.
