P: Generative fill could not be used due to connection

I can't use Generative fill and received notification: generative fill could not be due used to a connection issue. Anyone has problem and how can fix it?

Launch Windows Defender from the Control Panel. Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall. Add Photoshop.exe and Creative Cloud.exe Click back at the top left. Click Advanced settings.

Click on Inbound Rules. Make sure that you allow on both Private and Public for Adobe Photoshop 2024 and Creative Cloud. 

 

Click on Outbound rules. Look for "Adobe Unlicensed Pop-up". Click on it and then click Disable Rule. 

Then relaunch Photoshop and try the Generative Fill again.

Hi @Kundan0D45 the solution for this is to simply close Ps and reopen.  This will reset the tie Ps has to the server.

Also in on Windows - do you have Windows Defender active? If you disable does the connection resolve?

Ram/gpu working absolutely fine and normal... i think it has something to do with server idk tho

Hi @Firoz30379986nys0 that has to do with the load on the Adobe server, not your local machine. With so many users using, I would expect some downtime during peak hours for a large scale public beta like this.

I'm having the same issue. I'm using windows 11. All you have to do is turn off the windows defender firewall and it works.

still experiencing high demand in off peak hour.. and mostly it does work in my office pc but not in my home computer or laptop... idk what is this

Photoshop beta does not respond due to a connection problem. Problem alerts even don't explaining or give links to undestend what type of connection is needed or when this problem will be fixed and how. If it's cause internet connection, I'm connected!

experiencing the same error. Photoshop beta works fine on my desktop computer at work, but not at home on my macbook. tried both during peak and off peak times - same issue

This thread is the only one I can find with this problem

Really need a solution please Adobe! 🙂

It is definitely internet connectivity issue. Had the same problem and then switched to internet on my mobile and started working again...

Same issues for me. 

I do have stable connection and have turn off all microsoft defender firewall.

also restarted my laptop and still the same.

any resolution on this?

also have the same probleme, working fine in the morning and then "peek" times having the same error message non stop

I 'think' you might be talking about Generative Fill.  We can't use the translation tool on screen shots, so I'm mostly having tp guess.

 

Generative Fill is strict about the image content it is used on, and the words used to instruct it.   i.e. it will put up the error message if you ask it to insert a gun.  Does that help?

Had the session 1000 id issue on Mac Desktop when trying to use Generative Fill. This no longer apears but I do get the message "We're experiencing high demand. Please wait and retry your prompt soon. Thank you for your patience." Tried to make a screen grab of the message but unable do so as nothing selected message comes up having used Shift/CMD/4 selection over message.

Have tried numerous times but cannot get beyond this issue. Try on Windows and no problems.
