Add clothes to a person with own image using Object Select tool - People beta

Hello all,

I`m using latest beta photoshop v.26.5 on Windows.

I have my own picture of clothes  and I used Object Select tool - People beta and I selected a part of clothes to replace with my image. I read the message that this won`t exact change to my clothes but it will similar.

Is there any way to workaround that to apply real image I`m attaching ?

Or are you planning to implement this functionality ?

Are you not using Generative Fill with a reference image?  That would be the way to do this.  The Photoshop Training Channel did a short tutorial on this 10 months ago, and the tools have improved since then.

I am sure he put up a better example more recently than that, but I am having trouble finding it. 😞

Thanks for reply and clarify however this doesn`t use exact the same picture which is provided as an image - it`s take similar that`s the problem.

My use case is that I have pictures of clothes for sell they need to be mapped 1:1 they cannot be just similar 😕
