Adobe Photoshop Generative Fill: adapt object brightness or change impact on light

Hi all,

I'm playing with generative fill to create a nice background for product photos that have a white background.

Here is an example:

While I'm happy with the background, the object looks less natural because it is unaffected by the changes in the background. Is there a way to make the object look more realistic with changes in light and color to match the background?

Thanks
Laurent

Generative fill cannot be used for commercial purposes. See this help page:

https://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms/adobe-gen-ai-user-guidelines.html

"No Commercial Use of Beta Versions

"While generative AI features are in beta, all generated output is for personal use only and cannot be used commercially."

Sorry, I couldn't use my normal account for some reason. I'm not using generative fill for commercial purposes, I'm not selling anything, I'm just illustrating articles.

The technique I mentioned using the Harmonize Neural Filter would work with a generated background or a stock art background.

If you were doing commercial work, you could try a background from the Adobe Stock Free Collection like these:

You could try the Harmonization Neural Filter (Filters > Neural Filter and select Harmonization) on it. You would need to first duplicate the layer, select the object, and apply a layer mask.

Here's more info about the Harmonization Neural Filter:

Thanks a lot I didn't know that filter but it will be very useful to tackle this kind of issue. Thanks for sharing!
