Question

Beta not opening from lightroom and giving error messages.

Most updated Beta will not open from lightroom. I have to request it to open multiple times, after a long delay it gives an error message saying the image will not be opened because it can't launch photoshop. Then it sends another error message saying that it will not open the file. After you click ok on both of these errors it ends up opening the file anyway. This is super time consuming and almost a work stoppage situation. I tried to uninstall and go back a version but then the AI features no longer work. Please fix this bug ASAP or make the last version work correctly.

    Just realized I could point LRC to Photoshop 2023 in the additional editor using "Choose" and navigating to the .exe

      I too have this issue. I'd be totally happy with keeping PS Beta, and just be able to link to PS 2023 through LRC, but I can't seem to figure out how to point LRC to PS 2023. It will only go to the 2024 Beta

        Hello,
        I have read in many questions that: PS Beta is not for use in work editions (it is only for testing)...OK!!!
        But the error of delay in sending photos from LR to PS (24.7) is unanimous! And that's the answer ADOBE has to give us consumers!!!

          Yep I am still having the same issue opening images in beta ps with the most updated version. Due to the work stoppage I've had to uninstall and use an older version and just live without the AI features. I really hope they fix the issue and offer an update soon.

            When choosing Edit In/Photoshop (Beta), the image file doesn’t open initially. I then get an error message in Lightroom (see attached screen shot). A minute or so after the error has been received, the file eventually opens. The whole process of opening an image file from Lightroom into Photoshop Beta now takes around 5 minutes. With the previous Photoshop Beta version 24.7, this process worked immediately. This issue has only arisen since version 25.0 has been released.

            I haven’t managed to recreate any of the corrupt image files that are occasionally produced when opening from Lrc into Ps Beta 25.0, and I haven’t kept any of the previous ones, but it produces an image with banding across it as if some of the image file information is missing.

              It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.  

              Both for Ps beta, Ps release and LrC.

                I am having the same issue when opening a file from Lightroom in Photoshop Beta and on occasions when the image file finally opens it is corrupt with sections of the image missing.

                      With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.
