Beta prevents my 'real' version from opening a workspace window

...but the main application window does not [load], even when I click on the Photoshop icon in the task bar on my Windows 11 machine.

Can you check to see if something is wrong with the icon in the taskbar (just to make sure)?

• Remove the current icon
• Launch Photoshop from the Start menu
  or
• Launch Photoshop from Creative Cloud
• If either works: right-click the new icon and pin it to the taskbar

Ok, thanks for the update. That is working as designed because Ps beta is the "newest" version of Ps that your computer has on it. Ps will always open with the newest version and that is as designed, not a bug.  The way to solve this is to NOT have Ps beta on your system, or always open Ps release version first, then drag and drop or open your files into it as normal.

Not exactly.  I can't get my licensed version of Photoshop to open a window on the desktop.  It shows the splash screen, the taskbar icon indicates it's active, but even clicking on the taskbar icon won't open the main window.   However, Photoshop (beta) opens just fine.

It doesn't matter if I try to start licensed Photoshop before or after starting Photoshop (beta), or vice versa.  Each is closed before attempting to open the other.  Fortunately I can do my work in Photoshop (beta) so I'm not shut down, but this is annoying.

I don't try to run both at once. 

Curious @Richard26627624adhd , if you open Ps beta and then in your applications folder click on Ps release, you are saying you can not run both at the same time?

Can you see 24.6 in the creative cloud app? 

Does it say there are updates available?

Have you tried reinstalling the full release version?
