Camera RAW always???

In 25.2 m.2368, every file dropped onto the Photoshop window opens first in the camera RAW utility - JPG, PNG, etc.  It's never done that before.  Is there a setting that is switched on in this beta?

    If I have it right, it is in Camera RAW Preferences.  You can get to it from the Edit menu > Preferences and right at the bottom > Camera RAW

     

    The way I have it set opens JPGs in ACR.  I think the default is the center option, which I think will only open JPGs in Camera RAW if they have previously been opened in ACR.  That's how it seems to work for me.
