Color Statistics

I would like to be able to find the percentages, of any one of my used colors in Photoshop.

So if I make any design, I can find out how many percentages each color have.

It makes a difference when a customer wants to go from 10 to 15 percent of any given color.

Perhaps it could be under the View panel. 🙂

Hi @Trevor.Dennis

This is what I´ve been doing for now, but I would like to

have it more automated, to avoid errors, and speed it up abit. 🙂

Hi @CShubert
I have att. an image of how I would picture this.

Currently I am working on another request - in another Community thread,

to get the colors, from an indexed design shown on the .pdf when printing.

This can hopefully be done by using a Script, so far so good.

What I would like next, is for the percentage to be shown on the .pdf I am printing aswell.

But it should only be shown when chosen / switched on, I only want it on my print when I

need the numbers, not for initial design workout. I have att. a print with the percentages shown underneath each color.
I would use it to automate the kilogram use of each color of yarn to make my embroideries.

Manual calculations are too slow, and can result in errors.

Thank you. 🙂

Here is the link to the duplicate thread where  @c.pfaffenbichler  has been answering by writing scripts.

Knowing the number pixels in a selection would help.  People could use Color Range or Magic Wand to select, note the area of each selection and do the math.

Hi @Jani.A great thought. Could you share more, maybe some mockups of what you are thinking or how it would work in a customers workflow so we are sure we understand your vision?

Thanks,
