Generative Fill

Generative Fill is not working for me. I keep getting a message saying to check my internet connection because the service is not responding. And I have checked, and it's a VERY FAST connection speed. My internet connection can't be the problem here... could there be something else going on? I would LOVE to be able to use this new feature!! I use a Mac. Thanks

    so i uninstalled becuase I was not using it as often and it was working fine! then i reinstalled it to use the generative fill again but this time it was greyed out. so right now i opened photoshop and it works again! so not sure if that was a glitch before biut so far today it is working.

    Sorry, I forgot to mention that's when I try to get PS Beta to do an Extension of the original image. But even when I type things in to generate a specific thing, same issue.

      Hi Cory, thanks for the response. To answer your Q: No, I've never been able to use GF yet (I really want to, though!). When I try, everything seems fine at first. I crop, select the transparent area to be filled, and attempt to use GF (leaving the description box blank, per Adobe's instructions). The system seems to be working on it with a progress bar as a visual, but then not long after the progress bar is done, I get the message that the service is not responding and to check my internet connection. Yes, please do keep me updated. I will look at that link you provided in the meantime. Thanks!

        Thank you @Flori0D4D, arm64 means Apple's new Mseries chipset, ax64 is Intel.  No worries there.

         

        We have seen others with this connection error message and the team is looking into it. The only other thing to try would be to use the CCD update process to see if there is something else at play.

         

        To be clear, you have NEVER been able to use GF, or you have but are now seeing the connection issue... want to be sure we are clear on that.

          Hi Cory, thanks for getting back to me. Here is my Photoshop Beta System Info. The only difference I saw between what you listed as the latest version and my own info was that instead of "x64" at the end, my info says: "arm64". Not sure if that makes a difference? I have copy-pasted my system info below, as requested. As far as I know, it is indeed the latest version, as Adobe Creative Cloud is not indicating that there is a newer version to update to.             I also wanted to add that I've tried various other things, hoping to resolve the issue: Reinstalling Photoshop Beta, shutting down and restarting my computer, logging out and logging back in to Adobe Creative Cloud, making sure VPN is not active/on. I don't know what else I can try. Hopefully someone out there will know how to address this. Thank you for considering my issue.
