Did you try Escape?

Sometimes a dialog box that is waiting for a response can get hidden behind other windows.  Escape or Enter can clear that.

It does sound like Photoshop froze with that menu open the way you describe it, and that's the sort of issue Sameer is better placed to help you with.  The beta version does seem to get its knickers in a twist more often than the release version, and we often have to resort to resetting Preferences.

Hey, @4989843. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. We've moved the post to Photoshop Beta discussions; I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please record & share the steps to recreate this along with the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Try these steps:

Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to back up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)
macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop Beta [version] Settings

Rename the Adobe Photoshop Beta folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2024/Beta > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2024/beta.old)

This will give a fresh start to Photoshop Beta as a new installation.

Let me know if it helps. Thanks!
