I have enjoyed working with the Beta version and it is generally pretty reliable. However several times lately the menu's have greyed out and cannot be used. I can still use some of the keyboard shortcuts to get done what is needed. But to get back to work it often it involves at the lease restarting Photoshop and often forces a complete computer reboot. That of course can be awfully inconvenient when I am heavy into working, often on several things at once.
I am using version 25.4m2417. I have a MacBook Pro 16 (2.4GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9) running macOS Sonoma 14.1.1.
Do you have any suggestions or helpful hints?

It sounds like you know what you are doing, and this is not user error. You say this is intermittant? Are there any clues as to when it happens? I know there have been some issues with Sonoma but 25.4 has not been out long, so you might be the first person (that I have seen) with this issue.
We have had panels with missing icons (Toolbar and Adjustments, and I think there might have been an Option Bar post) but I don't remember menu issues like yours.
I expect the Adobe people who follow this forum will ask you to reset Preferences, but hold on to see if we see some more posts like yours.

Thank you for your thoughful feedback. I have wondered if it is an issue with to many things running at once but it has even occured with most everything else stopped.

As I said before, I am a Windows user, so I have changed your subject line to show you r are using an MBP and Sonoma 14.1.1 which will hopefull attract som Mac users to your thread.
Has this only started since 25.4?
Has it ever happened with 25.2.0 full release?
25.2 has been updated with fixes for things like the layer mask badges which were upsetting a bunch of people, so if you have not done so already, do a manual reset of your Preferences and if that does not fix it, use 25.2 till they iron the bugs out of the beta version. I still haven't seen your particular problem elsewhere, so you might be OK after resetting Preferences.
The other thing to try is Deactivate Native Canvas which has been fixing all sorts of display related issues.
