Hi

I have both photoshop v24.7 and photoshop beta (v.25) in my computer. I'm using beta just for generative fill and the other new features. But I do my long jobs in normal photoshop. Until now, I could use both of them. But now when I'm trying to open my project files with photoshop (not beta), it opens photoshop beta. And I cant open photoshop v24.7.

Is this normal? Do I have to uninstall beta?

Hi @GamerTeacher this is as designed depending on how you are opening your files.  Ps beta is the "latest" and Ps will always try to open the latest/newest version.

What happens if you drag a file on top of your Ps release version, will it open as usual, if you right click and say open in and select Ps release version, does it work?

yes when photoshop (not beta) is opened, draggind my project file works. But when beta is opened, not beta version does not work for me.

Anyway your answer worked but installing both version is not very practical especially if I don't want to work long in beta version because I experienced several crashes after working 2-3 hours in beta.

Thank you for your answer

Now that the new Photoshop 25.0.0 is out and has all the features the Beta version had, I've uninstalled the Beta.  From Lightroom Classic I can take an image into the new Photoshop version per the usual (on a PC) Photo/Edit In/Photoshop.exe  That's all good.  But... selecting a group of photos and then trying to Photo/Edit In/ Open as layers in Photoshop leaves me with that option grayed-out and unavailable.  Help me sort this out so all works as it once did.  Thanks.
