Pink Hue and Neon Orange Infecting Images

Help! I have been using the new Photoshop Beta. Photoshop is now infecting a great bulk of my images with either a pink hue, or a neon orange type glow that is ruining the effect. The images did not start out that way, and I did not change settings or profiles. It started happening when I began converting the images into different sizes after upscaling. Please help! I am at a loggerheads, because I cannot use the images this way.

Hi @Jody30127603bkbf could you share a video of your workflow so we can see what you are? Does this issue happen to all images you have tried this with? Does the same thing happen with the release version of Ps?

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hi @Jody30127603bkbf thank you for the videos. To be clear, the images that have been opened in Ps beta are being converted to this pink cast, they are altered and there is not a way to revert? We want to make sure we understand WHERE this issue is happening in your workflow.

A couple things:

Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.7.0 20230628.m.2223 0770f83 x64 is the latest version of Ps beta, are you running this?

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Let's also make sure your prefs are not corrupted

Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:

/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura)

With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

Hi Cory,

This problem is happening in both Photoshop Beta, and in regular Photoshop. I did recently update. I am cutting and pasting the System Info below.

This is now converting immediately upon opening files. If I save, it does save the pink/orange caste. I do not know if there is a way to revert back, or if so, what it is.

I will try resetting preferences if I can figure it out from your instructions. Another thing to note in case it is relevant. I have multiple Macs, and I use iCloud. I fluidly switch around among the computers constantly and typically use Bridge to view the files. In case this is related in any way to Bridge or iCloud or the combination. Also, now usually I only have Beta open.

Thank you @Jody30127603bkbf, one thing we see:

Scratch volume(s): Startup, 228.3G, 12.6G free - this is not enough scratch disc space, it is suggested to have a min of 100gb. See if you can free up some space and restart. Not sure this is what is causing your issue, but for many things this can be an issue.

Hi Cory, we are trying to sort out the scratch disk issue. The system info I sent is from a new mac mini purchased in the last month or so, so it shouldn't really be having the issue. However, the problem with the pink/orange hue is independent. It is happening on all computers in our household. That includes my husband's which doesn't have the scratch disk issue. We are working jointly on projects with these Photoshop files. He is having the same problem.

Ok, thank you for that update. Would it be possible to list all the computers you are seeing this on and their basic specs in one reply? This is a very strange issue and the fact that it is happening on different computers is very hard to understand as to the why.

We need to find a comonality in how this could be an issue on all these different setups, ie are they ALL set to the same color workspace, do you have your workspaces set to conver tto color settings....? What are all your computers set at?

Hi @Jody30127603bkbf the team was wondering if you could share your workflow, how you are starting to work with these images that this issue is showing up on? Example: open file in?, adjust settings in ?.... export or save file...? Then entire flow from start to issue.

They are looking into an issue with Adobe Camera Raw processing HDR files and then sending that to Ps... if this is your workflow, please let us know.
