Question

Properties panel not showing Hue/Saturation sliders in Photoshop Beta

Hello,

I’m experiencing a recurring bug in the latest version of Photoshop (Beta) on macOS.

When I add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, the Properties panel does not display the usual Hue, Saturation, and Lightness sliders. Instead, it only shows:

“No mask selected” — even though the white thumbnail (the adjustment layer, not the mask) is properly selected in the Layers panel.

This bug does not happen in the stable version of Photoshop, nor in a different open document within the same session.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open or create a new document

2. Add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer

3. Click the white thumbnail of the adjustment (not the mask)

4. The Properties panel incorrectly shows only mask options (“No mask selected”)

System details:

Photoshop Beta version: 26.6.0

macOS version: 15.3.2

Chip: Apple M3 Pro

Same here, if you put the layer to down it will work, but if this is in the top not work.

this is a pretty serious bug, Adobe. We need to have this fixed asap, please.

I'm in 26.7.0 on a Mac and it happens all the time. Especially with large images which take time to save, I cannot constantly restart the software. Please focus on that issue!!

Same issue... On top of not displaying. If you have two PSDs open it will display correctly in one PSD but will switch the sliders off when clicking on another PSD.

As others have stated it "fixes" on restart. The problem generally occurs after working on a PSD for a little. It works properly for some time. Then randomly will stop working.

Hi @Tom S...  testing here and it appears to be working as expected.

1. Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura)
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings (Mac)

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Beta)\Adobe Photoshop (Beta) Settings

Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut
With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

2. It may help if we could see your Photoshop beta System Info. Launch Photoshop beta, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thanks,

Cory - Photoshop Product Manager

Me too, just upgraded to 26.6 not BETA.  HSL adjustent layer does not show expected colour sliders etc if placed above a later, however if I move it underneath every other layer it will display properly. did you fina a fix for this?

Thirding this issue. Right after updating, which is why I rarely do it.
