PS beta install on Mac issue: Launchpad

When installing PSbeta from Creative Cloud, PSbeta replaces the PS2023 icon in  Launchpad. Apple says it's Adobe not separating the 2 apps. Adobe says Apple only displays the latest app. I wasted alot of time trying to determine why this occurs because Adobe says PSbeta is "a separate app" and can be run concurrently with PS2023. Other apps, ie Luminar 4, AI and NEO all run from Launchpad without issue. Not a big deal unless you use Launchpad and PS2023 is not there.

Hi, there

It's the same problem with mine.
I can open PS in Finder and even add it to the dock bar.
But it disapears in launchpad no metter how many times I do initialization↓

defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true; killall Dock

So, I guess we just have to wait Adobe fix it

I had the same issue after installing the PS beta this morning: PS2023 missing from launch pad. Description says they are 2 separate apps. DID NOT have the problem seeing BOTH versions of Illustrator in launchpad (AI beta and AI2023). Deleted the PS beta and PS2023 reappeared in its rightful place.

Thank you. So it is a bug with PSbeta installation?

It is a bug.  Adobe and Apple are trying to fix it.

Interesting. I spoke to both at the engineering level off and on all morning yesterday and each one blamed the other.

Again, I can also run both apps from Finder. My point was Adobe is saying you can install the beta version and it will be separate from the current production version. To me, that doesn't mean deleting the production version icon in Launchpad.

Do you see two separate apps in the Applications folder, which you can run separately?

If so, you can add both to the Dock.

I get that. But I don't keep every app in the dock. I run ally photo editing apps from Launchpad...until now.
