Latest photoshop beta- When using select subject, even though I have preferences set to process selection in the cloud, I keep getting told that it is processing images on the device due to connection issues. However, all networks test show good internet connection both upstream and downstream and there are no blocks by the firewall, so not sure what is going on.

Hi @dragon308,
Sorry for the trouble with cloud processing for your selections. Can you provide any other details that might help?
So far in my testing with 24.1 on my Windows system I'm able to use the cloud processing option.
Do you have any firewalls that are active that might be blocking the connection?
You could try restoring the preferences back to the defaults and see if that helps!

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
Let us know how it goes!
Regards,
Pete

I lied the issue is back. However, I have noticed a fix for it. I you have to delete all the temp files in the appdata\local\temp directory, and the it will work. I see some Jpg of the image there, which I assume are what is being passed up to the cloud; not sure why it clocks a connection issue, though, because I can see it talking out to amazon's cloud when the selection button is pressed. I've also noticed the latest beta doesn't always close out properly. I have to kill the process, which is still using about 3GB of memory in the task manager, and this is after having been closed for 10 minutes.

Thanks for the updates @dragon308,
Which version of Windows are you working with that you're noticing Photoshop beta not closing successfully?
Regarding clearing temp files, how often are you noticing you're having to do this? Was it a one-time thing? or is it required more often?
Regards,
PG
