Selection measurement info box bug

Several times now I've made a selection using the box option in PS Beta and the little black box that shows the measurements of that selection, will at times freeze or imprint onto the screen and nothing you can do will make it go away save shutting down PS. If I make a new selection the new one shows the new measurement box, but the previous imprinted measurement box remains frozen on the screen. This is true if I minimize or move around the window of PS. The frozen box will stay in place no matter what. It seems to have started at some point within the last two versions of PS Beta.

Photoshop beta and official versions also have an error when I use Ctrl + drag the image and release it, suddenly a message appears "Could not complete you request because the layer is locked." accompanied by a raised position mark that does not disappear after that. Only when I close Photoshop and reopen it does the phenomenon go away. If I accidentally do it again, the error will continue to appear, making me feel like I find it very annoying, I hope that error will be fixed in the next update.

I'm having this problem too. It just started after using Photoshop (latest version) on my Mac Book Pro using Monterey 12.7.6 all day. I thought I must have hit something by mistake but it won't go away! Help!

I have this issue, just started this week out of nowhere, and the only way to fix it is to restart PS. Pretty bad bug.

Actually, I'm back in Beta now and so far, it's not happened again. Seems to be pretty random which I know isn't helpful on your end. Here's my system specs. I'm also going to make sure my GPU driver is current right now. In hind sight, I should have done that at the first sign of the bug.

Thanks for the update @Deven15D5... so, this issue only shows in Ps beta.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hi, I reported this error wrong. It is NOT the measurement box when I draw a selection. Rather it is the box showing measurements and tiny white arrows when I move the selection box around the screen. Sorry about that. I did not experience the problem in regular PS release, yet anyway. The problem mentioned has occured at least three times to my memory in PS Beta. Hope this helps!
