Could not complete the Group from Layers command because there are too many layers for this version of Photoshop.
Using Photoshop Beta, 25.1.0
.psb file is 3.91 gb. Last new layer was #8000
Is there a workaround for this?
Kevin,
There are PLENTY of group folders and adjustment layers.
Because this is a master file used for creating graphics for circa 100 catgories and using my CC library extensively, I duplicated and renamed the file. Then edited the master category groups, leaving footer layer groups in place, then deleleted the layer groups for news items.
So I'm back working again with minimual distribution.

How much memory do you have?
As I understand it, these days the number of layers we can have depends on the amount of memory (RAM) in our computer, but I've never come close to that so there may be an upper limit.

@elvis is dead congrats you may have hit the limit on individual layers inside of Photoshop! In all seriousness, the limit in previous CC versions was around 10K. If you have layer 8000 and that doesnt include adjustments, group folders, etc it could very well be that you hit the limit for individual layers in PS.
