Unhide generative fill bar in Photoshop beta

Hello,

I reinstalled my iMac (Catalina 10.15.7) and when I download the Photoshop Beta from Creative Cloud, the higher version available for mi OSX is the 24.0.0 and I cannot find GENERATIVE FILL on this version.

Before reinstalling my iMac I had PS beta (not sure which version) with Generative Fill working fine on it.

How can I have generative fill again in the PS beata 24.0.0 or how can I get a higher version with gernerative fill?

Thanks!

Antonio

Hi @Antonio26564936fcsh GenAI is only available in v25.0 or higher in beta and you would need to be able to update your OS to use it.

Hi @Antonio26564936fcsh You are running Catalina.

If you cannot upgrade to Big Sur, you wont be able to run current Photohsop betas or releases.

Unfortunately Adobe only supports and has releases for the current (25.0) and immediate previous release (24.x) and both require Big Sur.

You can still download 22.2 using the Creative Cloud desktop application, but 2022 (v23) which is the last version to use Catalina is no longer available for download.

Hello, my iMac only supports Catalina.

Anyway I already have Photoshop Beta 24.0.0 installed on it (but does not have the generative fill).

Would it bring any improvement in that sense if I downgrade to 22.2 version?

@Antonio26564936fcsh

Generative Fill is now in the released version of Photoshop 25.0. You can download it from the Creative Cloud app if your computer meets or exceeds the system requirements.

Thanks for your quick answer @jane-e, but that's the problem.

In Creative Cloud App doesn't not allow me to install the 25.0 PS version because my iMac does not meet the system requirements, but I was able to use generative fill in the beta version.

Is there any way to access to a previous beta version that allows me to use generative fill again?

Thanks!

Hi @Antonio26564936fcsh Unfortunately beta is not a production version and previous iterations have Generative Fill disabled for the current builds. That wont solve your problem.

Lets take a look at your PS setup. Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
