Using save for web, works fine then will not work.

Explorer ,
Sep 26, 2025 Sep 26, 2025

I'll have several images to save for web and in using the command it will either work, not work, or will work and then stop working. I have to close all files, close PS, re-open PS and it will work.

My first reaction was I was missing something, then I discovered I was not missing anything, it was a bug.

WIN 10 22H2

BETA 27.0.0 - but this has been a constant issue meaning this is not unique to BETA 27.0.0.

Thanks!

Hi @stevethornton ,

Can you say more on what you mean by "not working" or "will stop working"?

Do you get an error? or some other experience?

For strange behaviors like this, you might see if a preferences reset helps out:

Try the manual steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html
If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

Pete,

Thanks for the reply.

I have 10 to 15 images open that I want to use "Save For Web". I start
manually doing this as I custom adjust the level of compression. The Save
for Web works as expected. Then, out of the blue, it no longer responds to
the shortcut: Control, Shift, and Alt. At this point I have to close
Photoshop and reopen it. Then, usually, it will run Save For Web fine.

No warning, no error messages, it just quits. This is a random malady.

Thanks!

Steve

Hi @stevethornton ,

I haven't been able to reproduce unfortunately. Just tried with about 18 files and the SFW shortcut worked each time for me.

Did you try resetting the preferences by chance?

Regards,

Pete

Pete,

Did you try resetting the preferences by chance?

No, but the next time it happens I'll try it.

Also, this is totally random.
