Ability to show and snap to alignment guidance

When I move a layer around, I do not see it show alignment guidance nor snap to positions relative to other layers or the canvas in ways that it does in other Adobe applications, such as:

  • Align with the edges of another layer
  • Align horizontally or vertically with another layer's center
  • Align horizontally or vertically with the canvas' center

 

This is valuable to me because it helps me ensure that I am pixel-perfect when it comes to alignment of my layers, and this guidance has been something I've relied on regularly with other Adobe applications.

Hi @Matt Colón,

 

Wanted to provide an update that Smart Alignment and Snapping have been added to Photoshop Web!

You can find them under the Zoom > Snap To menu in the top toolbar:
