Curves seem to record and play fine here (25.12.0 on Mac OS 14.6.1 ), are you talking about Curves Layers?

Both, Curves Layers and Image/Adjustments/Curves are not playing in Actions.

In Photoshop v24.7.5 they are all working (playing).

Reinstalling Photoshop didn't solved problem.

For example Brightness/Contrast and Hue/Saturation are working in Actions, but Levels and Curves are not.

I cannot reproduce the issue for Curves or Curves Layers.

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Reseting Preferences and disabling GPU didn't solved the problem.

Could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Actions with the fully expanded Action, Options Bar, …) visible?

I figured out that it only doesn't work with gray images. I tested color images and they worked. I am attaching a screenshot. After double clicking on Levels in Actions window it doesn't loads recorded settings (92, 197)

I can reproduce the issue for grayscale images.

I seem to recall reading about something like this in the past, but I failed to locate an existing Bug Report.

May I ask why you work in grayscale?

I mostly work for prepress and I'm used to grayscale – they're also smaller than rgb.

If one works for actual 1C printing it certainly makes sense.
