Auto-select not opening the layer folders.

as someone who use hundreds of layers and never names then, the Auto select feaure is very important.

 

in the recent updates I noticed than If I use the move tool, and try to click on the canvas, on an element that is inside a closed layer folder, the folder wont open and i'm left not knowing where the layer is.

 

I'm sorry because of the auto-updates i'm not sure when this issue started.

Photoshop version 25.11.0 functions as expected on Windows. Have you tried resetting the preferences to resolve the issue?
