Can't Load Photoshop CEP Extensions

I'm trying to develop an Adobe CEP extension for Photoshop 2024 on my mac M3, but can't seem to enable legacy extensions on my settings pannel since it's greyed out:

How can I develop and test extensions on my system?

CEP is not supported for Apple Silicon, and its deprecated anyway. UXP is the current framework.

@Lumigraphics Thanks for your response! Is there a way to generate extensions with UXP? This framework is completely unknown for me
