Image Corruption after Using Camera Raw

Hi all, I've been having an odd issue with Photoshop 2023 (Mac version) the last few times I've tried to used it. I open an image from my camera SD card, which opens the Camera Raw app (15.4 version if that matters) & make any initial adjustments to the image. Then when I click 'open' which opens the image in Photoshop, the image has what I can only describe as corrupted areas (see screenshot attached to this post). Sometimes I'll be able to get further along in the editing process before this happens, but in this instance it's happened as soon as the image is opened in Photoshop. It does seem that if I make zero adjustments to an image in Camera Raw and just click 'open' in Photoshop straight away, this doesn't happen. Any help would be appreciated as I am currently unable to edit any images at all.
