Question

In 24.5.0, the right panel of controls is very different than it was. How can I change it back?

Even though I have been using Photoshop for 14 years, I still qualify myself as an absolute newbie.  So, when the right panel of controls has changed suddenly to something much less useful, I have absolutely no idea as to how to return it to its previous self.  Also, now there is a floating pop-up that has a few elements that are now missing from the right control panel.  I've circled in green the panels of which I speak.  Now I can't do anything.

@DoctorCarlo

The other panels are there at the bottom. Try Window menu >  Workspace > Reset Essentials Workspace.

Other panels, such as Character and Paragraph, are also available from the Window menu.

The other toolbar is the new Contextual task bar. You can turn it off from the three dots on the far right if you don't like it.

Hi @DoctorCarlo double click on the panel tabs below to expand your panels back to the way they were. They are collapsed now.
