Issue with Smart Object in the Latest Photoshop Update – Need Help!

Question

I’ve been experiencing an issue with Smart Objects in the latest Adobe Photoshop update. Whenever I convert a layer to a Smart Object and try to edit it, I get the error message:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error."

Sometimes, the layer opens, but I can't save any changes .

Steps I’ve Tried:
✅ Restarting Photoshop and my PC
✅ Disabling GPU from Preferences > Performance
✅ Resetting Photoshop settings
✅ Trying different file formats

Unfortunately, the issue still persists. Is anyone else facing the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? Please share your thoughts!

Hey, @sagor_3824. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share a video & screenshots of the issue and the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does it behave as mentioned after a specific set of steps? Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.
