P: 32-Bit Preview Options Not Affecting Main Workspace Display in Photoshop (MAC)

Issue:

In Photoshop (32-bit mode), the 32-Bit Preview Options feature does not behave as expected. When adjustments are made in the 32-Bit Preview Options (e.g., adjusting Exposure, Gamma, or Preview Mode), the changes are reflected only in the Navigator Panel, but not in the Main Workspace Display.

Photoshop version 26.2.0 20241207.r.140 bc85906 arm64
OS: Mac OS 14.6.1

Steps to Reproduce:

1.Open a 32-bit image in Photoshop.

2.Go to View > 32-Bit Preview Options.

3.Adjust the Exposure or Gamma values.

4.Observe the effect in the Navigator Panel.

5.Notice that the Main Workspace Display remains unaffected.

Same issue in 26.8 on Win11, but only if "use graphics processor" is checked in Performance.
But while disabling that toggle fixes the issue, it unfortunately breaks HDR display on my display (highlights clip)

I'm observing the same issue in Photoshop 26.6.0.

As a further data point:

With 26.2, on Windows 11, both navigator and preview windows respond together OK.
The 32-bit exposure slider at the bottom left of the preview window (click on the reveal arrow to bring up that control) affects the preview window only (as expected).

This may be Mac specific.

Hi @CMass,

Thank you for looking into this and filing the ticket with the product team. I can confirm that this issue was not present in my previous version of Photoshop (26.0.0). I also tested 26.1 and the issue is present in that version. Here is a text file containing my system information as requested. Please let me know if you need any further details to assist with troubleshooting.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the steps to reproduce this issue. I was able to confirm it on my end and have filed a ticket, which has been shared with the product team. Do you recall if this issue existed in the previous version? Additionally, could you please attach a text file with your system information?
