P: Adaptive Wide Angle clicking on angle pin window flickers

I have an irritating problem with
Adaptive Wide Angle filter. I have never had this problem before nor
other problems. Ps has been working OK until now.

The constraint
tool flickers my whole adaptive wide angle window back and forth to my
Ps working window behind, while I try to move the "change angle" pin /
dot. It does this to all my panorama raw files and to any other file. The problem isn't constant, sometimes it works, sometimes not. It has all started yesterday after I saved my work as a PSD file. I wanted to return to my smart object layer with adaptive wide angle to modify some of the lines again to fix my photo and suddenly my whole window started to flicker like in my video below.

I have tried to reset Ps preferences from Edit menu and reset Ps settings according to this video by J Kost https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXNrI6YKJIM&feature=youtu.be

It did not work. Nothing works 😞

I
have contacted Chat support a moment ago where I was told to move the
Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 folder found in AppData/Roaming/Adobe to
desktop. The problem was solved for the moment but after 15 mins and
taking a small break and returning back to work at my panorama file, the
problem returned.

Please see video of the problem I recorded, it shows what it's happening.

Anyone else encountered this problem before? Any solutions? Please help !

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I also have the latest updates for Photoshop.

I did keep my preferences. Yes.
I will see what I can do, maybe a reinstall.
I find it easier to work with the same preferences and not redo everything from scratch.

It depends upon what the default is on pressing the update button—to keep your preferences or remove them. I'm assuming you either opened with an entirely new system that didn't have any of your custom preferences, workspace, and kbsc, or that you saw they were all intact. I saw it was an old thread, but was just letting you know that the missing angle readout isn't something everyone is seeing, so it might be related to keeping your preferences from 2015 or 2015.5 when you installed the new version.

@Cristen Gillespie
I didn't migrate anything manually. I just updated Photoshop by pressing the button "update" from the Creatve Cloud application.
Between, this is an old thread, check the date. The main problem I had was the window flickering which now has been solved.

I can't even find anything in my Preferences (Tools — show transformation values, or Tools — show tool tips) that will turn off the angle number when I click on a pin to change the angle.  I'm on a Mac, though. But we do seem to be seeing a lot of little things that go wrong if people migrated their Preferences to the new version. I'll leave it up to you to weight the inconvenience against not seeing the angle display, if that's the only quirk.

I have updated to the latest version, CC 2017.
I have tested this again on the same files and on new files as well and it is working.  I have opened, closed, and saved the files without problems. It is working now.

BUT there is one small problem which I noticed.
When I click on the same pin which changes the angle, it used to show me (in real time, next to the pin), the angle number for example: "90 degrees, 45 degrees, 46, 48" any number in the direction I was moving the pin to align the said line of the building.
This isn't a big problem, I can live without it mentioning the angle number, it's okay.
The flickering was the annoying thing here, which now,  according to my tests,  it is fixed.

Thank you for fixing this for me. I highly appreciate it!
In case I stumble upon other problems (bugs) etc. I will return here, to these forums to inform you.

All the best, Cristian.

It's still an open issue with engineering.

Hello ! It's been around three months since we last talked about this, do you have any updates on this problem? There has been an update to Photoshop but it didn't fix this problem.

It's been two weeks, do you have by any chance new information on this matter?
Thanks!
