Jeffrey - thanks for the quick response.  If you check my 2nd post I said that it was pressing the Backspace key, not the Delete key.

Adobe Photoshop Version: 23.1.1 20220106.r.202 060a6d1 x64

Windows 10 64-bit

I use the notes tool in photoshop to put down post production information on images.

Using backspace when typing notes prompts a 'delete this note?' dialog or it goes ahead and deletes the active layer. This problem has remained for the past couple of versions.

Any thoughts?

Got it. Will ask engineering to take a look.

I cannot reproduce on Windows 10 with Photoshop 23.1.1.

Hitting the Delete key while in the Notes panel doesn't delete any layers. Let me know if you're doing something different in your steps:

PSS - I have the cursor in the note when pressing Backspace.  All layers are active, though the not does not seem to be tied to any specific one.

I have the problem when editig a note.  I have upgraded all the way to 23.1.1 and I STILL have the problem.  "Not fixed" in my book.

Windows 10 v21H1 (OS Build 19043.1466)

PS.  Please don't tell me to switch to Linux or a MAC.
