I've just updated to the latest version of Photoshop cc 2019 and since then when I have the brush tool selected the resizing/opacity HUD won't work as expected.

In Photoshop CC 2018 the brush preview (i.e. the usually red overlay) look faded to the edges depending on the opacity level. like this:

RackMultipart20190217664931w8c-d7de7213-6a4a-4b66-b45d-d51ccb6c36e1-1582092864.jpgRackMultipart20190217664931w8c-d7de7213-6a4a-4b66-b45d-d51ccb6c36e1-1582092864.jpgexpand imageexpand image

In Photoshop CC 2019 this works only if I use the HUD to change hardness instead of opacity, otherwise the brush won't show any fading, like this:

RackMultipart20190217100307vql-628f5a7c-dc40-4606-9b8b-e0b507ac10b0-1845917886.jpgRackMultipart20190217100307vql-628f5a7c-dc40-4606-9b8b-e0b507ac10b0-1845917886.jpgexpand imageexpand image

Is there a way to show the fading edges in the preview even when changing opacity?

Hi Andrea,

Indeed you are right!  Thanks for bringing this up.  I'll make sure a bug is logged against this if there isn't one already.
