P: Convert to Video Timeline option missing - Apple M1 devices

I am not able to select anything but "Create Frame Animation" in the Timeline. I am trying to create a Video Timeline, but not using Frame animation. This option isn't in the bottom left or top right of the Timeline menu.

I have tried resetting my preferences, uninstalling and re-installing, creating a new document, and converting all layers to smart objects, and none of those have worked. I have a macbook pro with macOS Big Sur version 11.2.3 with an Apple M1 chip.

Thank you for the help!

Guten tag! I hope that you are aware that it is possible to do so via Rosetta (in the cc app, select the three dots after photoshop in the installed apps section, and select "Open in Intel".

OTOH, native support would be stunning on M1, indeed.

Just an update. As of Feb 22, video export is STILL not supported in Apple silicon. You need to open the intel version of photoshop in the Adobe creative app under the photoshop application or in Finder. It's unfortunate this feature is still missing after all this time.

Haven't use this feature for a while but today I just found that I can no longer open any video files in the latest Photoshop v23.X. It'll always give me this error message "can not recognize your file type"

So then I've tried below "fix" I found:

- Allowing photoshop full disk access

- Give photoshop accessibility access in privacy setting

And still it doesn't work. Is it a known issue? Here's my system detail

Macbook Pro M1 Max 2021

MacOS Monterey 12.2.1

Photoshop v23.X (I've tried a few older versions and the issue persist)

Please help.

Hi @Maria232876158e2u Is the file you want to render a GIF file or a PSD file?

ETA: Sorry, I missed your attachment in the previous post! Apparently, you need to run Photoshop under Rosetta. Please see this info:

Okay. Is it only this one file that you can't render to video? Or with any animation you try to export? Has this ever worked with Rosetta or is this the first time you've discovered the option isn't there? Were you able to render a video with the previous version of PS? If so, you may need to revert to that version for the time being. Do you know how to do that through your Creative Cloud desktop app? Sorry I can't be of more help.

Are you on an M1 device? You need to run in Rosetta for Video to work: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-for-apple-silicon.html
