P: Gradient doesn't use current foreground color photoshop June 2025

Community Beginner ,

Gradient under "foreground to background" or "foreground to transparent" option did not automatically follow when i update the foreground colour (it should). I have to each and every time manually click to update, this does not happen to older version of photoshop.

Version: Photoshop 26.7

Opertating System: MacOS Sequoia 15.5

I can reproduce the behaviour.

Depending on your needs you could

• switch from »Gradient« to »Classic gradient«

• instead of changing the foreground color double-click the color stop on the Canvas to edit the color

Over two years, and this still hasn't been fixed.
