Sorry to hear that this has happened. Could you tell us more about this issue. We are trying to figure out if it is a bug.

Does the cursor change to double-head arrows when hovering over the bounding box? If it does, what happens if you click and drag?
Alternatively, it would help if we could see a short video showing the issue.

Could you also share your system info? That is under the Help Menu and then System Info.

Thanks,
Catherine

Thanks for responding so quickly Catherine! I made a quick video...but, it's hard to see my cursor.

I'm using the text tool and selecting the bounding box...but, when I go to drag a corner or side of the bounding box (as I was able to just yesterday before the 2015.5 upgrade), it just deselects the text bounding box.

Interesting. So do you see the cursor change when you go to drag a corner or side of the bounding box? What does your cursor look like when you go through these steps?

Also, could you share your system info?

Thanks,
Catherine

Again, sorry you couldn't see my cursor (Giphy). When I select the bounding box, the double arrow cursor is activated and the anchor points of the bounding box appear. Once I click on one of the anchor points, the cursor disappears and unselects the bounding box. Strange.

I've tried disabling all my plugins, font management and anything else that might be related...no dice.

Me too. Mac, El Capitan 10.11.5. Bounding box resizing worked fine yesterday before I updated to 2015.5.

I will have to revert to previous version while you fix this.

Me too. It is really a show stopper. I have an updated Mac and see the cursor change. A few times it works, mostly on text made in the previous version. Please fix it ASAP. Its is very difficult to make web and app design

Figured out that text area size could be changed if you drag it outside the artboard.

DON'T UNINSTALL 2015.5! It removes PS 2015 too...even though they look like separate apps in the Applications folder.

I had to redownload and install PS 2015 so I could continue working. I just hope that the 2015.5 files are reverse-compatible.

I've already reverted back to regular 2015 so I can work. But, I did have it enabled.

Can anyone else answer Pete's question?
