P: Move Tool - Toggle auto select shortcut changed

Hello. The changed shortcuts to toggle the autoselection of layers with the move tool selected is highly frustrating to me. I used to have a great workflow with auto select turned on and used cmd to drag elements that were either off-canvas or too small / too transparent to grab them. Now it seems to be inverted: I need to turn auto select off to toggle with cmd. When it is turned on, cmd seems to toggle now between layer and group auto selection.
I can't understand why this was changed or is at least not something I can switch between in the preferences.

Thanks you very much for looking into this.

Thank you for fixing this!

In my view this was a big blunder from the Adobe Photoshop team, they changed something critical to a good workflow without proper testing. It took months to revert the change. I am happy it was changed back but I don't think Adobe deserves 'thank you's for this.

Thanks guys.
I just upgraded to CC from 5.5 earlier this week and move tool was killing my productivity. Now I can start enjoying all the new CC features without being hindered by something so mundane as selecting and moving layers 🙂

Start a new idea for that (if there isn't one already).

You can check the version # of Photoshop this way: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Or for plug-ins: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

You may need to tickle the Creative Cloud dialog to check for updates. Quit and relaunch it.

Good one. Yep I would want the version number to be displayed in the CC desktop window near each update. Thanks.

Weird,

When I select Help > Updates it opens Photoshop Application Manager which lists the 2014.2.2 update.

When I open the Creative Cloud menubar app it doesn't list the update.

How come?
