P: photoshop 2023 add suffix in "export as" window

Photoshop 2023, the "export as" window has a "suffix" function. In the past it would add the suffix, and create a new file name with that suffix. 

Now it asks if I want to save over the original file, as if it has the same name.

The whole point of adding a suffix (for me) is to create different jpeg versions from one photoshop file, which now I can't do from this window.
Why has this changed? It worked in previous versions...
