P: Photoshop can't open, freezes on splash image, uses all of ram trying to open then crashes.

I have googled every possible variation of this problem and tried every fix for this problem, none of them worked. I have tried reinstalling photoshop, deleting everything even remotely related to photohop in the appdata, deleting custom fonts, restarting the computer, updating graphics and computer, and holding every possible combination of alt, ctrl and shift while trying to launch in administrator mode. The result is always the same. It opens the splash image, gets to loading preferences or brushes, spikes RAM usage to every last byte of RAM I have, freezes the computer, then crashes.

And no i'm not running it on a potato i'm running it on an Alienware Aurora 4090, it should have more than enough power to handle this and Photoshop ran perfectly fine for months. Then just today it crashed and has never started up again.

Photoshop version 25.11

UPDATE

We identified a problem with a recent Adobe update that caused Photoshop and several other Adobe beta apps to fail to launch. We’ve released an updated installer to fix this problem. Please download and install the latest Creative Cloud beta applications. This update should resolve the launch issue.

Thanks,

Cory - Photoshop Product Manager

This is happening to me to, its so frustrating and stupid we have to go thru all these steps and stuff to try and fix it while we pay 60 bucks every month for these softwares, they should fix it without making us do all this stuff...

Hello, I also have that error, but the solution is as follows: UNINSTALL ALL THE BETAS you have. I uninstalled them, and all the programs work normally. So that's the risk of having the "BETAS." We will have to wait for an announcement for when ADOBE improves that. We can continue experimenting with the "BETA" programs without a problem to reinstall them. Greetings to everyone.

I've got Apple M2 Max, latest Sonoma OS and latest versions of Photoshop for both the main and beta ones. I was using them both yesterday and suddently they stopped working so they won't launch anymore. I've got both the lauching loading screen but they will hang there forever and never fully start any of them.

Anyone could assist on this please?

Hello, I have been using Photoshop for months without any problems. 2 days ago, it suddenly stopped opening. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program many times. But it still does not work. I have a very important project to prepare and I cannot design. Please, I need urgent help from an authorized person. My computer is Apple M3 16GB. I have done all Apple updates. Since I believe that Adobe will not cause such a problem, I thought that the problem was caused by my computer and connected to Apple technical support online. But they examined my computer and could not find any problem. I am waiting for urgent help from an Adobe authorized person.

Uninstall all beta versions of Adobe. We were going to work with classic versions. I am a user from Turkey. I did it this way. Now it works without any problems. The important thing here is that just uninstalling the beta version of the program that does not open does not work. You need to uninstall all beta versions you downloaded from CC.

Managed to sort it out using the creative cloud cleaning tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Be aware however you will lose your presets unless you save them. I just chose all the beta apps and Photoshop to clean as I had no issue with any of the other apps.

Happened at the worst time as well, so frustrating.

Hi, I've a big problem.  I'm using the latest version of Photoshop ver 26.11.0.  My problem is that when I load a RAW image, the system just hangs.  I can open the same image in Lightroom but no dice in Photoshop.  I read that it is a Camera Raw settings problem so I reset it but to no avail.  Any idea what it could be?  My camera is a Sony A6600.  My computer is working perfectly in other apps.  It is AMD Ryzen 9 5950 processor,  64gb DDR4 RAM, Samsung 500GB SSD, and the video is a GTX 1060.
