P: Photoshop can't open, freezes on splash image, uses all of ram trying to open then crashes.

I have googled every possible variation of this problem and tried every fix for this problem, none of them worked. I have tried reinstalling photoshop, deleting everything even remotely related to photohop in the appdata, deleting custom fonts, restarting the computer, updating graphics and computer, and holding every possible combination of alt, ctrl and shift while trying to launch in administrator mode. The result is always the same. It opens the splash image, gets to loading preferences or brushes, spikes RAM usage to every last byte of RAM I have, freezes the computer, then crashes.

And no i'm not running it on a potato i'm running it on an Alienware Aurora 4090, it should have more than enough power to handle this and Photoshop ran perfectly fine for months. Then just today it crashed and has never started up again.

Photoshop version 25.11

UPDATE

We identified a problem with a recent Adobe update that caused Photoshop and several other Adobe beta apps to fail to launch. We’ve released an updated installer to fix this problem. Please download and install the latest Creative Cloud beta applications. This update should resolve the launch issue.

Thanks,

Cory - Photoshop Product Manager

After updating to 25.11 Photoshop would no longer launch, but rather it would get stuck on the splashscreen. Following your adivce by removing the beta applications fixed my problem. (Running on a currently updated 2023 Mac). Thanks.

Seen many people here having the same problems. Did a lot that was mentioned but nothing, really nothing helps. I've checked the memory use of other apps. Nothing to do with that.

I only get the splash screen and that's it. Then the apps do not react any more. This is NOK.

It's been now three days without any means to work with the mentioned apps. As a photographer I'm losing very, very precious time!

I need the solution now.

Call Adobe and they will use the creative cloud cleaner to uninstall the
Creative Cloud App and your beta versions of Adobe software, then reinstall
ACC and all the individual programs you need including Photoshop. I’m a
professional photographer on a deadline and had no time to waste reading
any more guesses about how to make Photoshop do what I’m paying for, so I
called Adobe and they got back to me and solved the issue within 90
minutes.

When this happened to me, i tried everything and then finally called Adobe support who had it fixed in about 30 minutes or less. They went deep into my system renaming and deleting old Adobe remnants that were still hanging out from several iterations ago. Call them.

Hi Karel31729961zpgw

Have you tried uninstalling the Beta version of Photoshop (if you have it installed) and then closing and reopening the application?

What's the phone number to call?  I'm still having the issue and have uninstalled all the Beta apps.  I'm so frustrated.   Adobe is known as a good product but I'm seriously thinking twice now.

Call adobe texh support. They will fix this. I had them call me and it took about a hour and I was up and running.  Beta is dead. Get rid of it.  If you want to fix it on your own do this:   Go into every adobe file (program files, common files, program 69x files, and app data files). You will rename each file adobe.old.  There start the computers. The. Run creative cloud cleaner (found on adobe website). It will run you thru the cmd and select all to clean.  Restart your computer.  Then redownload creative cloud and load photoshop.   You can then go back into app data and reload your brushes, actions, etc.  Will work after that.  Restart your computer again.  I am so thankful for tech support. They even called this morning to make sure everything was working properly.  Hope this helps. Call tech support!!
