P: Photoshop creates a gude log while working with files

Beim Arbeiten mit der aktuellen Photoshop-Version hängt sich Photoshop nach kürzester Zeit auf, d.h. die Bedienoberfläche und Menüs verschwinden und ein speichern ist nicht möglich. Folgende Fehlermeldung schreibt er in die log-Datei (gude-2022-04-14.log):

 

[WARN] WGudeRequest::applyAutoDetectProxyAutoConfigSettings Failed to autodetect proxy settings. WinHTTP Unable To Download Script. last error code = 12167

 

Hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem und kann mir helfen? Vielen Dank.

like, you want to make something, and photoshop keeps going "DING DING DING DING" until it gets your attention xD

v24.4 appeared for me today in N.America. In my case, the GUDE log file issue is now fixed. I can double-click image files and have them open Photoshop without that extra file being created. Back to how it always was (on this item at least :-))

Just to confirm, I updated to the 24.2.0 Release today and the issue is fixed for me using Windows 10 in the United States. Our long nightmare is over, lol?

@scubaraven are you still seeing the issue? Have you updated to 24.2?  If you are, please let us know and share your sysinfo.

 

Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Please help.  I don't know what Gude files is or where it came from.  Some instructions I've read on the internet as to where uncheck something do not apply to the most-recent version of Photoshop.  How do I stop these Gude files from showing up?  I don't even know what they are!  Thank you!!! I've noticed that my images keep disappearing out of their folders, and one I worked on last evening for about three hours is gone! I had a folder with thousands of brushes and textures, etc., broken down into about 80 categories, AND EVERY FOLDER IS NOW EMPTY. 
And now I opened Photoshop and clicked on “Open Most Recent” and except for 1 file, THE LIST OF PREVIOUS PHOTOS I WORKED ON is also gone!  I can’t even think straight I’m so upset about all this!!!!!  This started with the GUDE issue.  I have since uploaded the latest update for Photoshop.  Thank you!  Diane
