iPad 6.1.1 was released today. Can someone please explain as these features do not work?

- A toggle to enable/disable clipped adjustments layers when creating them

- New ways to view your selections (red overlay, black/white and others) in Select Area

This is the App Store description of the tool I want to use.:

  • Use the new Brush select tool in the Select Area room for more precise and powerful selections.

Hey @poetHoward

Can you share what version of Photoshop on iPad you're currently using?

Once again, Adobe has released another placebo. iPad 6.2 is not an iPad update. Instead it's an advertisement for iPhone Photoshop. This is confusing. I reported this issue several weeks ago with 6.1.1 iPad update which was a placebo and an advertisement for photoshop iPhone.

@pjglad, chances are that Adobe would argue that these updates are not "placebos" but contain bug fixes, performance improvements, and sometimes new features, even if those features aren't always immediately obvious or what every user is looking for.

You might want to reread my post. 6.2 does not fix or enhance iPad photoshop. It contains no code for the iPad. 6.2 is an iPhone photoshop update. Read the release notes.

OK, I finally figured this out. 6.1.1 is not an update to Photoshop iPad. It's an update to Photoshop iPhone. Adobe - Why imply that this is an iPad Photoshop update when in fact it's a placebo and an advertisement for Photoshop iPhone? I wasted hours chasing shadows.

Hi @pjglad, Thanks for raising this, I understand how frustrating it can be to expect new features and not see them where you'd anticipated and I can see how the messaging may have caused some confusion. We're actively working on making our release communications more precise across platforms so that it's easier to understand what's changing where. Feedback like yours helps highlight exactly where clarity is needed, and I’ve passed this along to the teams involved in those announcements. Thanks! ^CH

Hello Claire H, Net gain = zero. iPad 6.2 update was released today and once again it is a placebo and an advertisement for photoshop iPhone. This is confusing.
