So I keep having the problem with quick export not working. I have to quit Photoshop and go back in to get it functioning. This messes up my work flow is this a known issue or is it just me.

I have the issue. Reinstalling is not gonna do anything, since this is a fresh install on a new machine bought today!

Quick export is flaky at best. I just used it seven times in a row, I added a new layer, changed some text and it stopped working. I was hoping this problem would have been solved by now as it's been months but it looks like it's still ongoing. C'mon guys, fix this already. We've got work to do.

I believe I have a workaround. In lieu of actually re-installing Photoshop (I don't have access to do it at my company), I can make it work by doing the following:
  1. Turn the layer into a Smart Object
  2. Double-click the Smart Object to open it in a new window
  3. Now I can export it by going to File: Export -> Save for Web (Legacy)...
  4. Afterwards, close the Smart Object, and undo it or rasterize it back into a regular pixel layer.
I hope this helps. Best of luck!

I have updated my PS to 2015.5 and the issue still remains, it's not fixed.

As a UX designer I have to work with multiple artboards (each with several layers) and produce different versions of my flats. So the quick export as PNG would be really useful (if it worked)...

I'm moving to Sketch with some projects just because I can't deal with the hassle of having my workflow completely cut by having to restart PS all the time.

Craig, are you saying it's not working now since you updated yesterday?

Thyago, is Quick Export not working at all?  Also, are you accessing it via
1) File > Export > Quick Export as (type),
2) right-click on layer in Layers panel > Quick Export as (type), or
3) Layers panel flyout menu > Quick Export as PNG (there is a bug where the type doesn't update in this instance when it's changed via preferences, but the actually export type is correct).

No, I'm saying it started working before yesterday, and I just checked, and it's still working now. 🙂

I don't have my plug-ins anymore though (Portraiture, Google Nik Efex, and Topaz though... I can't find where/ how to add those... 😞 )

Great, thanks for confirming it's working for you.  Your plug-ins should still be in your Photoshop CC 2015 directory.

I just re-installed Google Nik Efex, and copied the others over from the Photoshop 2015 folder to the Photoshop 2015.5 plug ins folder.

They seem to work...:)

You need to update to latest update. It was fixed (at least I haven't the issue since I updated).

I was only able to get it working again by reinstalling. Did that about a week ago, and haven't had any issues since.

I have had this issue and now have a work around. All you have to do is create a new document in Photoshop and drag the layers or even the whole artboard to the new document. Boom. You can export now.

Hope this works for you. Not a fix but better than nothing.

Export is not working. Same as others have said. Export is a fundamental part of Photoshop! What is going on?!
