This should be solved in the 2015.1.2 update released today: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

I just got word that someone else has been able to repro the problem internally and we'll be coming out with a fix soon.

Thanks,
David

Hi Bob,

What are you seeing when you try to do a File > Open Recent?  Could you post a screenshot?

Thanks,
David

Same here. The list appears to have a static list of old recent files.

If you drop new files onto Photoshop, or choose File > Open to open a new file, they are not appended to the recent file list (File > Open Recent).

I might have a solution: it appears that clearing the recent list (File > Open Recent > Clear Recent File List) gets things working properly again.

Hmmm....that's odd.  I'm not seeing that here.

Each file I open is added to my recent list.  And I'm running a clean build via the public servers, so the exact same thing you guys are.  I'm wondering if this may be a permissions issue -- for some reason the recent file list has some flag set that's preventing updating.

Trevor, can you confirm that resetting the recent file list fixes everything?

I've restarted Photoshop and opened some more files, and all appears to be working fine after resetting the list. All good here.

Since the newest update, sometimes? the program saves and sometimes it WON'T (Or more like not at all i think) the "Recent Files" i've opened, making it annoying to re-fiiiiiiind 'em at their folders..

Is there any way to recover/fix this?

Clear the recent files list, then they'll start accumulating again. But after 100 recent files, it'll stop again.

'Clear recent files' solves the problem for a while, but after a few days it stops adding the most recent files again...

My list of recent files, both only the file menu, and on the new homescreen, show only files that I opened weeks ago.

In my photoshop cc 2015.1.1 the last used files on the new start page are not actual. It seems that the list contains only files from the day when the update 2015.1 was installed.

It doesn' t matter whar I do, the List never changes.

It's incredible such things are happening with Adobe products. This update just resolved a painful issue on Illustrator were the right click didn't worked for some month. Now this? Seriously thinking to try an alternative software.

Shame on Adobe!!!

Adobe released an update that claims to resolve several issues. I already resolved this by clearing the list, but the update fixed a problem with the liquify tool.

This is a bug. If there is a limit to the number of recently viewed files, the list should always include the X most recent files. At this point it appears to get filled but new files don't force the others off the list.

Where do I find that update? I tried clearing it but it started the same issue again. According to my CC program - I don't have any new updates since the last time I did it about a week or so ago.
