P: Select tool creating excess visual selections and copying itself when dragged

When using the Photoshop CC 2015 select tool it creates smaller squares around the edge of the selection, then when you move the selection box it copies itself hundreds of times much in the way windows XP would when it crashed you dragged the window around.

Additionally could anyone let me know how to download a previous version of the software as I need to regain some after effects plugin functionality.

I am using a GTX 760 on windows 8.1, playing with the GPU settings in the preferences had now effect.

Thank you

I think let Drawing Mode in Normal and deselect all the options until Adobe launch the patch is an alternative. Paul Kind, here I haven't seen the problem again, but we have different systems and different hardware. I think this problem is related to GPU because Illustrator has an issue when GPU is active (imprecision drawing the lines on the screen). When GPU option is off, everything is fine. Try the same steps: disable all the options and put the drawing mode in Normal but not turn the options again. Here, using the GPU acceleration I didn't feel faster rendering, but I think it depends on kind of work you are doing.

It is likely not an OS issue. Seems to me like its a video driver issue. What makes no sense however is that even with Graphics Proccessor Acceleration being off, it is there. You may want to try Americo's post a few above. It worked like a charm for me.

I just did the Windows 10 update and the problem is still here. Just thought you should know. In the meantime I will go back and install the older version of Photoshop.

We're working on an update to correct this issue.

In the meantime you can install and still use CC 2014 following these instructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-clou...

Well if you use the graphics Prozessor..this bug is gone.
But we cant use the GPU because the whole Photoshop crashes when closing a window or while saving.

We acknowledged the bug, and a fix is being tested.
That is all we can say.
