P: When launching Photoshop it recurringly takes focus from another application/task (Windows)

When I open PhotoShop, it takes my computer a moment or two to open it (most of my PSDs are at least 2GB big), so I switch back to my browser to keep working, but every time there is an alert, or popup, or question, or it simply successfully opens the PSD, PhotoShop forces itself to the front, interrupting what I was doing in another window.
It can be very frustrating, especially since I am more often than not in the middle of doing something.
And I wish it was as simple as Alt+Tab-ing back to my window, but sometimes it just forces its way to the front again!
I don't suppose this is a feature that can be taken off/switched off?

A quick, reproducible method of testing this:

1) Open notepad and place it on your secondary monitor
2) Open Photoshop
3) Place focus in notepad and start typing
4) Photoshop will steal focus while typing, click back into notepad
5) Repeat step 4 a few more times

Still a very active and very workflow-disturbing issue!! Adobe, please listen to your users. Come on...

Agree, very weird. I have been using the latest master suite for years. This is really affecting my workflow.

The key to that answer is "could". 🙂 They also "could" decide to give the program away for free, but that's about as likely.

lol ! They play with mine first 😉
I took my phone 10 days ago and decide to call the Adobe hotline to understand why it takes so long... they open a support ticket and i've juste received this answer...
Don't hesitate to do the same 😉

Exactly. They just don't care and it's very frustrating.

Honestly - no. I've been reporting the same bug in Adobe Premiere for 2 years now and I keep getting the "we're looking into it" line. Bullshit. No one is looking into it. They do not care.

Just admit that the design team simply doesn't give that this annoys everyone. I would respect honesty a lot more than lip service.
