It was working on CS3. So I didn't update my photoshop for one year because of this problem. When I press "F" for full screen mode, it overlays the windows taskbar. And I need to see it because i have to check my emails, reply to msn and etc. It's very annoying problem whcih came with CS4 and still in CS5 and 5.1, too.

I think CS3's full screen mode is better can i get it back?

Yes. I agree with everyone here. We need our taskbar back. And we don't need anyone from adobe telling us how to use photoshop, thank you very much.
I've been using it for years for my work, and I'm not asking them to change photoshop, but keep a feature they use to have available (so people can turn on/off) if they want the taskbar or not.
It's not too much to ask.

That's nice that Full Screen mode is to use the full screen.

Too bad it's not functioning as documented, nor as usefully constructed from the toolbar that activates it. There's no reverse toggle back to normal mode using the toolbar icon, clearly that's by (a rather dumb) design. In addition the esc key doesn't cancel out of full screen mode.

Yes but when I hit the "F" twice, it goes full screen with a black background. And in normal screen mode, you can't use hand tool to drag canvas if it's smaller or fit with photoshop's background. To use hand tool, i hit "F" and then the taskbar being veiled.

Hey guys, why not maximize Photoshop in the case where you want to see the task bar? The idea behind full screen mode is to use the *full* screen.
