Photoshop 24.5 cannot open RAW file with GPU Option Enabled

When I upgraded to Photoshop v24.5 and Camera Raw v15.3.1, I cannot open my raw file with the "Use Graphics Processor" option checked and it will always show "Could not complete your request because of a program error." And I need to uncheck the option to get the file open in Photoshop. I never encountered this problem in the previous versions.

Camera Raw can open the file without problem and I use the "Auto" option in it.

I am using a Nvidia 4070 Laptop version with Studio Driver version 535.98

Laptops are inherently problematic because they all come with dual GPUs these days. That tends to cause conflicts in advanced applications that use the GPU for actual data processing.

You may need to disable the integrated GPU. See section 6 & 7 here:
