Photoshop 26.4.1 becomes unresponsive

As title, after an unspecified period of time PS will randomly become unresponsive. Tried rolling back to 26.0 (which initially was fine, I had gradient bugs with 26.1) and that version is now doing the same thing. Disabled CR technology previews so AI stuff ('New AI feature and settings panel') is not in its own panel in CR and that makes no difference. The only Technology Preview I have enabled in PS is for precise 16-bit document previews. I use PS and Bridge. Tried clearing all caches and it's made no difference.  PC rebooting (Windows 11) has made no difference. It's a bit of a pain having to restart PS (by ending task in Task Manager) multiple times a day.

If that doesn't help, can you post your Photoshop system info, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info, hit the copy button and paste the entire thing into this thread

According to Adobe (30 January 2024) preferences are not preserved when rolling back to a previous version. I have  already rolled back to 26.0 then reinstalled 26.4.1 after finding 26.0 showing the same error as detailed in my original post. Basically if I'd stuck with 26.0 and not bothered with subsequent versions (ie 26.1 that broke gradients forcing me to rollback to 26.0) I'd have been ok.

Hey, @Andy D photos. Welcome to the Photoshop Community & thanks for adding the System Info. 

Great suggestions from @Ged_Traynor - Did you try those steps? 

Does Photoshop get stuck after a series of steps or during an operation?

Looking at the system info, here are a few things you can try:

1 - Update the GPU drivers for the Nvidia GPU; they're from seven months ago and <6 months is recommended. Our Community Experts suggest using Studio drivers over Game-ready drivers.

2 - You have a set of plugins active. Try holding the Shift key when you launch Photoshop to skip loading any plugins and check the stability without any external plugins. 

If excluding plugins helps, you can install each plugin manually and narrow down the specific plugin(s) causing issues.
