Photoshop & Sonoma Liquify Tool

Hi - just wanted to share a new issue since upgrading OS to Sonoma.

Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT for the liquify tool, which intermittently suffers from severe lag. The lag generally only occurs when background layer(s) are set to visible, and doesn't always happen, even when working the same filem and without restarting Photoshop. So far as I can tell, this lag isn't occuring with any other tools (large brushes, transform tools, adjustments etc).

Using 16gb M1 imac (latest generation), and have necer experienced any lags prior to OS upgrade.

Problem also does NOT seem to be dependent on canvas or file size.

I know Photoshop hasn't yet been fully tested for Sonoma, so wanted to flag this issue for the devs.

I opened PS 25.5 today and the Verification window ran as if it were the first time running since an update, even though I ran the update last week. The version is still 25.5 and out of curiosity, I tested the Liquify tool, and other than the cursor starting off a bit erratic when the Liquify window opens, it settles within a second and the tool is working fine now. Is anyone else noticing this?

Another PS update, 25.5, and the Liquify Tool issue is still not resolved. I'm puzzled as to why it's taking so long to resolve an extremely popular feature. I won't pretend to understand what it takes to resolve such an issue, so it must be low on priority or a severely difficult issue.

I upgraded to Somona once PS 24 was on the list. I have the latest updates of Somona and PS and Liquify Tool still wonders.  Do we know if anyone at Adobe is acknowledging this? How much longer before this is resolved?

Photoshop is not on the list of compatible applications for Sonoma yet. Watch for an update for PS that will hopefully address Mac OS Sonoma.
